Help? Immediately?? Please? Buddhism Food and diet?!
Answers: can someone explain a Buddist Diet and their eating habits? Thank you so much!!!!!
For one thing, we dont fast A LOT. Also, we can be vegan or vegitarian. Take me for an example, I am a Buddhist that eats no meat but drinks dairy. That is it.
Then you have others who are pure vegan, no eggs (after all they are chicken embryos) Baked goods that require eggs and dairy (that come from animals) are a no-no.
Either way, vegan or vegitarian, tofu and soy milk is always good.
Some of us eat 6 small meals a day, 3 meals or 2 meals a day. However, on certain holiday(s) we do not eat anything, maybe a glass of soy milk or water here and there, but that is all.
Most Buddist are vegan as they don't believe in taking the lives of animals for food. Incidentally they also fast a lot as part of their religion.
they are basically vegetarian
