Relish strike?!

Question: so i was talking to my friend today and somhow we got on the topic on relish. we both know that relich is made from pickles(i like pickles). but what else is in relish I mean that is a total mystery to me as well as to my friend but we both still love it. then i suggestd that we go on a relish strike until the relish companies give us the relish formula. if you agree then please go on the strike with us if not then go away.

Sweet Pickle Relish


6 c. ground cucumbers
3 c. ground onions
2 ground bell peppers
2 ground red peppers
3 c. ground celery
1 1/2 c. water
3/4 c. salt
Pour salt over ground vegetables and let stand overnight. Drain well. Make solution of: 3 c. SUGAR (or more to suit taste) 2 tsp. mustard seed 2 tsp. celery seed

Bring to a boil, add vegetables and bring to a boil again. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
