Do you hate it when someone asks for a separage check?!
Answers: Like, when you go out and eat with your friends. Do you find it annoying when your friend or whoever ask for a separate check (bill) at a restaurant once you are done? So they could pay their portion and you pay yours? How do you feel about this? You like it better because it's fair? Or you think it's kind of awkward and putting money together is not a huge deal? =)
I absolutely hate it every single time. I am a server and I think that if you know someone well enough to eat with them, then you should be able to fork over an extra dollar or whatever if you just split the bill two or three ways or whatever. And if you do want separate checks, you MUST say so at the beginning, and be prepared to leave an extra tip, as the amount of work your server has to do goes up with each separate bill.
no...I dont walk around with cash all the time....so getting separate checks is more convenient for me...why should I pay for everyone's food with my credit card and have them give me money.....that probably wont end up back in the bank....
I think it depends on the situation and your relationship. If you have paid the last (or last several) times, then yes, that would bug me. But, usually when I am out with friends and they (waitstaff) ask that question we usually make the eye contact and the nod and it is a mutual agreement...it is fair, just don't let yourself get gypped. And if you are getting gypped, make sure next time YOU ask for the separate checks first next time! :)
if your friend bought something and your friend ask ''can you pay for me?'' your friend must pay for it not you because he/she want it so your friend must pay for it.
OR
if your friend dont have any money you will pay for it and your then your friend will pay for it soon
I don't mind separate checks. Saves figuring who owes what... I have great friends that wouldn't be worried about who owes what, but it is much easier just to get separate checks.
