I think, first, you have to separate 'vegans' from vegetarians. Vegans are way more extreme in their habits. Vegetarians can be a little...rude....about what you eat. In my high school days, I've had vegetarianas pass out some very shocking reading material during a meatball sandwich lunch...haha! I can see their point of view. I feel for the animals. I understand that they want people to also feel for the animals. But sadly, some people either don't care or don't wish to care, or don't want to know! I love meat, I need the protein and can't stand tofu....but I do love animals and wish they weren't treated so horribly. I have seen some videos that made me WISH I could ve a vegan, but that's not my lifestyle. So even then, you could say I have double-standards! To vegetarians, you are wrong! To them, they are right. But everyone is like that when it comes to sports, religion, government, all kinds of things.

What I thought was funny, in a pharmacy class I had there was this 'educated' girl who said she was hard-core vegetarian. Yet, we caught her eating Popeyes in the dark corner of the back wall of the classroom....haha! My guess is that she asked for Popeyes to fashion a piece of tofu to look like chicken....little did she know...it was the real deal. Hee hee, too funny.

I'm a vegetarian and I don't try to change people...it's their own decision

Best way to solve it is to call them plant murderers and then just order a nice juicy steak and eat it in front of them :)

I guess an confirmation for their choice not to eat meat.

roll with the punches
such is life

Just tell them a saddening story of the plant's family and dreams, and how the vegetarians are killing double, or triple the amount of poor, lonely plants out there. Or to make them angry tell them the cow volunteered.

What REALLY cracks me up is when they are vegetarians because of animal rights, etc., but have a nice leather pair of NIKE tennis shoes on!!

A lot of vegetarians―not vegans, mind you―I have spoken to refuse to eat meat due to the way it is processed.

And frankly when I think about it I don't really blame them, but gosh darn it I cannot deny a good steak or Forno roasted chicken breast stuffed with bacon and Asiago cheese.

don't stereotype.

EDIT: April, i don't wear leather either =)
