I eat a lot of chicken what can the hormones in meat do to someone?!

Question: The food industry will tell you that cooking meats and other items thoroughly will destroy most of the hormones and antibiotics present. However, this is not always the case and studies have shown that a very small amount of these substances can change the way your body operates. Many hormones are present in your body including testosterone and estrogen, among others. Additional amounts of either of these can have dramatic consequences. Antibiotics in meat is being blamed for resistent bacteria we are seeing.
Your best choice is always to select organic, free range chicken and other meats and seafood, eggs and organic milk and vegetables and fruits whenever possible. It is well worth the extra cost and if the public starts to demand it, we'll see an improvement in what is provided in our stores.
