Appetizers as a meal/ non traditional meal?!

Question: It's just me tonight so I'm going to see if I can find some nice strawberries, some brie and crusty bread and make a meal of it---- plus some good wine. Tomorrow, I'm thinking pita and hummus and veggies. Anyone else like to eat like this?

I love to eat that way, but my husband frowns greatly on it! LOL, Talk about pout! After 36 years, I know I'd better plan that kind of meal for me only...when he goes to the ranch or has a game.

I love the meal and would certainly enjoy it. I also like sliced fresh pears with walnuts and brie.

Sounds great..........are we invited?

absolutely! My husband hates it as he's meat, potatoes, vegetable, etc. My girlfriends and I get together and do just this. Falafal, hummus, tzatziki, fresh fruits and veggies and chow down. Wish we could do it more often!

I love to do that! I like the creamy cheeses, like Havarti with Dill. Ooh, and grapes and Summer Sausage. Bread and spinach dip. I make a cheese and bread assortment sometimes when my husband and kids are away. They are ingrates and cannot properly appreciate such fare. Love them dearly, but, truly they are.

I sometimes like to eat breakfast foods for my evening meal, or if I eat a meal at lunch, I might eat an english muffin with a little peanut butter on it, toasted first, gives you lots of crunch! A salad with left over chicken or steak cleans out the refridge and makes me feel better for that reason if no other!

Yes, last night I made a pepperoni & cheese bread for diinner; that I normally make as an appetizer. We had it with salad and baked beans. I will have a second look at all my appetizers and see how I can round it out with other items, as a meal.

I love a little of everything at the Greek Restaurant.
