grouper, mahi, tuna steak, steamed shrimp, oil and garlic blue crabs

Stuffed shrimp and crab cakes are good to start out. You get less intense seafood flavor, so you can figure out what your tastes are. Once you've decided you like them both, nothing beats great grilled shrimp or fish. But, it has to be prepared well with the right seasonings, or else it's no good. If you don't mind a little fat in the dish, go for grilled fish filet (mahi mahi or redfish) topped with a creamy shrimp and/or crawfish sauce.

If you go to a really nice restaurant, you might try scallops, blackened, not fried. I also like tilapia. A friend of mine cooked some really good tuna though. He is from Guam, so I guess he knows what would be the best seasonings to put on it as he grilled it. It was really good!

One reason for my choices too, is that these are seafoods that aren't messy to eat, unlike eating lobster, unless it's already taken out of it's shell. And I think lobster, though good, is overrated.

Fish.
Oh, don't order a combination of seafood since you are new to seafood. Don't want you to have rashes. Enjoy ))

Lobster with Garlic is nice and healthy.

grilled shrimp
grilled lobster tail

it depends on your own tastebuds--therefore, you should try all kinds of fish. for instance, my son will only eat tilapia, but i can't stand it because it is too mild for my robust taste buds.

these are the fishes or seafood that i myself love, but one is a very special nutrient dish:

lobster, shrimp, crab meat, crab patties, rainbow trout, and the most nutritious of all of them:

salmon.

salmon has omega-3 fatty acid in it--it is the absolute best source for putting that into your diet and it is great for your health.

salmon is a good, very robust-tasting fish. i love especially the red salmon from alaska.

something to note: lobsters are rarer and rarer all the time, but 200 years ago, huge lobsters were found so often on the beaches and they were so plentiful in a catch that servants and slaves got sick and tired of eating them!

EDITED: you should try to have your fish served to you with the head ON. the tastiest and most tender part of a cooked fish are the cheeks. not many people know that.

Listen Mister! With those abs you stay the helk away from anything fried! Do you hear me?

When I order out, I usually get the Captains plate, it has fish,
shrimp & scallops, potato of choice & 1 other side dish & rolls.

Sezuan shrimp
Shrimp or lobster alfrado
Shrimp lomen
Grilled cod with lemon severed w/rice pilaf
Crab cake
Lobster with garlic mashed potatoes or rice pilaf

The list just goes on...
