When storing bananas, should I have the arch part on top or the contrary?!

Question: It really doesn't matter, bananas will still decompose it's yellow self no matter which end is up only because it really has nothing to do with the roots. The peel itself oxidizes due to the air and eventually the banana will brown and eventually rot.

So, if you want to keep your banana's life for as long as you can, I'd suggest to chop it up in two sections, place it in a ziplock bag and store in the freezer. :)

the ideal place to keep bananas in the home is to hang the bunch on a standing hook. These stands may be purchased at any discount mart.

whatever you do don't store it on top of the apples. don't know why but they overripen more quickly that way.

The best way to store them is by hanging the whole bunch on a string. That way no surface is touching the ground thus delaying the decay of the fruit.
