Question about giving tea as a gift?!
My friend is a really big tea drinker and her birthday is coming up in a few days. I would really like to get her a tea-related gift, but am having trouble deciding on what.
I want it to be casual, so I was thinking of getting like some assorted teas, but am unable to find where to buy them in brick-and-mortar stores. Any recommendations?
What would be a good gift to give to a tea drinker? I was looking at some of the teas that Tazo sells, are they good? What is your favorite brand of tea?
Thanks!!

I'm a big fan of Celestial Seasonings teas.
Most gift stores or dept. stores will have these cool little 'tea for one' things -

They can get pricey, though.
Just put a little pretty bag together with a variety of teas, they don't have to be the same brand. They can even be from the grocery store -
Celestial Seasonings - Red Zinger, Sleepytime Tea
Twinings - Earl Grey, English Breakfast tea
Stash - any of them, they are all good.
That's just really nice of you to get something you know she likes. Another idea is to include a little bear of honey, to sweeten some teas.
You're a sweetie yourself!
Republic of Tea. The have and online store and I think you can have a catalog and gift card sent to her. I think Tazo might have gift cards also. Both companies are great, I have never had any problems with either of them.

I don't know if it is too expensive but this is the best gift I was ever given. It's great to bring to work with you, or even for students in a dorm room because you can pop it in the microwave and brew a GOOD cup of tea. This site has decent teas also I enjoy Teany, apparently it is owned by a celebrity ( https://www.teany.com/cafe/index.php ). I am sorry but bagged tea is terrible, generally. Also high quality honey, some raw sugar, or a nice tea cup would be nice.
I have several friends that enjoy tea, so for b-days or just whenever, I like to put together a basket with assorted goodies. Try any combination of the following: an assortment of boxed teas, a little honey pot or bottle of honey (orange blossom is my favorite), a lovely mug or pretty cup and saucer set, a box of simple cookies, a couple of embroidered cloth napkins and a set of teaspoons. Tie it all up with a pretty ribbon and you're done.
As far a the Tazo teas - I personally like the mint. I don't know if they carry an Earl Gray, but I like any brand.
Good luck, I'm sure your friend will enjoy anything you give her.
It may be hard to find and expensive but a set of what is needed for a Cha no yo the Japanese tea ceremony would be a wonderful gift.
There is also something else you need to find out before you get her these. Is she a black tea drinker or into green tea or herbal teas. If black tea only then you are looking at Earl Grey, Orange Pekoe, English Breakfast Tea, Darjeeling, Irish Breakfast and one or to others. If she is into all types you will have no problem. For herbal celestial seasonings has a wide and very tasty selection. For traditional black teas twinnings is about the best. Both should be found in any large super market but you may need to ask where.
personally i love green tea and sleepy time tea... but my favorite is chai tea... if u cant realli find her anything then buy her a few thinngs of tea and a mug and find a good way to wrap it like in a basket or something...
