Feed me healthy food.?!

Question: Eating in restaurants is something that everyone enjoys however, some of us working folks find that it is affordable only as a treat once or twice a month and then only if it isn't too expensive.

Many people cook healthy meals for their families or just themselves regularly. It's not much work to make a few more servings of each dish. It's also often more enjoyable if you have someone else to cook for besides just yourself.

Some of us have difficulty getting quality home cooked meals and are tired of just settling for the same old whatever. Many of us would be willing to pay for a healthy sit down home cooked meal with or without pleasant company included.

How to find such a cook to feed me in this manner, is a mystery other than to run an ad in the newspaper.

I know. Many will say to get a girlfriend. That's not currently an option. I'm a busy guy.

I've done the Google search. No luck. I'm open to ideas. Got any?

I think it is a good idea to run an ad. Or put up flyers around your neighborhood so someone within walking distance who would like to make a small income on the side can respond. Make sure you sample some of their cooking before hiring LOL - I have actually thought about cooking for people in my apartment building for the exact reason you state but was intimidated by the idea of getting sued if something went wrong, and all the red tape of getting started... Perhaps there is a local caterer you could strike a deal with or that could put you in touch with someone, maybe a chef-in-training or something...

My current situation is that I can't cook where I live right now. Report It

  • melvin, don't eat that! that's roy's food.
    roy is hungry.
    roy must feed.

what is the question. is it that you need to be fed? or you need recipes. go get a book at the library, and find the types of food you like to eat. very easy to do.

    # Cook meals in advance and freeze single-size portions. For example, make a casserole or stew and freeze individual-size servings. Then take out only the amount of food you need. Be sure to write the date and contents on packages and move older packages forward as you add food to your freezer.
    # Prepare one-dish meals. For quick and simple cooking, choose a dish that serves as the meal. A good choice is one that includes foods from several food groups, such as meats, whole grains, legumes and vegetables. Healthy examples include beef, barley and vegetable stew; chicken, vegetable and rice casserole; turkey and bean casserole (made with turkey breast, white beans and tomatoes); and vegetarian chili with diced vegetables.
    # Invite others to eat with you. Make cooking more rewarding by inviting friends or relatives to join you for a meal. Or recruit people for a cooking club, which provides a good opportunity to try new recipes and makes preparing meals more enjoyable.
