"rainbow" in my ice?!

Question: I bought a bag of ReddyIce(pre bagged ice)The ice appears to have "rainbows" inside the cubes? I contacted the company and they assured me that it is manufactured in a closed environment and the ice is never touched by human hands. I have never seen anything like this before.

Oh cool yea take a pic and if possibly when you go to the photo lab you can blow it up with out any distortions.What a cool wall photo that would make.

OK anyway the rainbow like designs you are seeing could be from the way the ice was cut. Depending on the angel the saw blade was going, and how fast and how much heat might have been coming off the blade all factor in. But now that Ive totally confused myself here Im gonna just leave you with that and stop...lol

It must be made with exceptionally pure water. If there are impurities in the water it will be cloudy and therefore no "rainbows" could possible appear.
