Bearnaise or Bernaise?!
Answers: What is the difference, if any between bearnaise sauce and bernaise sauce? (apart from the letter 'a').
No difference just the spelling and Ive only ever seen it spelt "bearnaise" for the region in France called Bearn The sauce was named in honor of King Henry IV of France at a restaurant owned at that time by Chef Jules Colette
There isn't any difference. Like other words of French origin, the spelling changed in differenct locations due to translation errors.
it's bernaise..i think!
