Whoever decided eating an egg was a good idea?!

Question: Food used to be scarce. It's surprising what people ate in the historic past. Other animals eat eggs.

Man discovered cheese by carrying their milk in a sheep's stomach. The stomach lining curdled the milk, making cheese.

Probably doctors and nutritionist when they realized how much protien, vitimins and minerals it contains.

Actually, it was probably way before doctors when our ancestors realized that eating eggs could help keep them from starving. Not starving sounds like a good idea to me.

Whoever decided yanking a cows nipple would give them some white stuff to drink and put on cereal. That's a better more disturbing question.

probably our ancient ancestors when animals started to lay eggs, some fish like creature that would evolve to be human and have always eaten eggs ever since

Probably when they saw other animals eating them. What I really want to know is who thought trying shell fish was a good idea. Have you ever seen abalone? Its disgusting!

an egg?

who discovered that nasty ugly scampering exoskeletoned lobsters and crabs were good for consumption?

there are lots of examples of foods that seem like they wouldn't be good (but are) and i often wonder who was the first person to try it and why they did....

food is food, and for something that's actually quite tasty and nutritious... then all the better. Eggs go with MANY recipes, easy to make, and can be cooked various ways. Furthermore, eggs are an excellent source of protein (compared to certain meats which are high in protein, but also high in saturated fats.). If you keep the egg yolks, you get ALOT of cholestoral, but at least the yolks have lecithin, a nutrient good for the brain.

Man.

LOL. I tend to agree. Can you imagine the first person to see something fall out of a chicken's butt and say, "Gee, I'll bet that tastes good!"

LOL. Just as "disturbing" as ILoveMy's cow question.

haha there are lots of good questions like that
like that cow thing lol

well now you have the answer..
so vote me the best..

UGH!!!!!!! I'm guessing you don't like eggs??/ Neither do I!!! I think it's gross smells nasty... and full of cholesterol!!

I love eggs. Nothing wrong with eggs except for the "rotten egg" smell when you fart.

Watching animals raiding nests and eating eggs was probably the first inspiration. Then having domesticated chickens just made it so easy.
