My george foreman grill?!

Question: my parents bought me a george foreman grill and it works ok i guess, but i was wondering if it is supposed to click every five seconds. the noise is really annoying. is this supposed to happen?

the clicking noise may be the temperature gauge clicking on and off.. but just to be on safety measures.. take it back to the store where it was purchased and swap it for another one.. mine only clicks to let me know when it changes temperature.

Mine does it too, I think it is the heating element
