Other than stickers on an orange how can i tell if its from California or Florida?!

Question: So i have some navel oranges and have been told that a California navel is different than a Florida navel. Is this true and if so how can i tell where my oranges came from. There are no stickers on them.

n my experience, oranges from California have a more intensely orange colour, than the Floridian ones which are somewhat paler orange.

Florida has lots of different types of oranges, but if it's a navel orange, it is the same as the navels grown in Cali. They all came from the few grafted trees brought from Brazil to Riverside, CA in the late 1800's.

There may be slight differences in flavor due to soil and climate, but they are the same type of orange.

There's no way to tell whether yours came from CA or FL.
