Answers: unless we enhance it wil pork or sausage and hide it in her bowl... what should i do .! im desperate
Try buying some of that sauce for dog food and see if she likes it.
she may have an upset stomach...try feeding her rice and chicken...make sure it's plain though...if she finally eats, keep feeding her the rice and chicken for a few more days then switch back to the normal dog food...
my husband mixes an egg in our puppies food if she won't eat, you could try that? You could try a different brand, she might not like the kind you have.
Put this question in the pet section, people can help you and you pet there.
Well did you recently change the dog's food? If not what kind of food are you feeding it? Anyway the issue with the gravy that you can put on it most dogs just lick it off. Now there is a food made by Dick Van Patton called Natural balance, now there are 3 types of natural balance dry, wet and semi moist. Try the Semi moist it comes in a pack that makes it look like a big sasuage. They sell it at almost any good pet store Petco, Pet Smart, etc
How long has this been going on & how old is your dog? I do NOT want to freak you out, but if she has stopped eating and is showing any other weird signs - like drinking a lot of water, or has the runs, or is losing weight, and/or is lethargic, it could be something serious. If not, she maybe has just changed her tastes - it happens to dogs too! - and may just need her diet adjusted. Or, if she's feeling neglected (any changes in your habits with her?) she may just be wanting more attention. We just found out our dogs blood sugar is through the roof - after he stopped eating, and started losing weight. It really depends on a lot of other things, but I hope she feels better soon! If she shows any other serious signs, I would get her to the vet - it could be something small, but you know you don't want to risk it!
thats not good
I'm a Nanny for a family whose dog won't eat its food. It likes all human food except fruit. I will sometimes take a little shredded cheese and distribute in food or some meat gravy or something where the dog can't eat what I put in the bowl without eating some of the dogfood.
Dogs have an exceptional sense of smell. Even if you could break up 1 piece of bacon and stir it in with dog food. My guess would be that whatever food it has, doesn't really appeal to her sense of smell which is why it will go for it when you add pork or sausage.
good luck. it's great that you care enough to post this ?
Sometimes dogs just are not as hungry one day as they are the next. If it goes on for awhile not eating I mean, get your dog checked out by a Vet.
I have fed my dog by hand when she was recovering from an operation, taking pieces and giving them to her one by one. Also yours might be the sort of dog that needs to be primed, give your dog a piece or two of food and then point to the bowl. Sometimes I give mine a milkbone and then she goes and eats right away.
Try mixing dry dog food with some canned.=)
