I'm changing from soda to (Minute Maid) fruit punches. Will this be better for my body?!

Question: I'm trying to get away from the carbonated water in soda. It's bad for your kidney's. I'm trying Tang, Kool Aid. Does anyone know if the Minute Maid punch drinks are any better for your body? I know they are sugary, but as far as I know they have no carbonated water. Note: Please don't say, "just drink water", I already do.

No. Nothing is better for your body than water. However, I enjoy a good sugary, carbonated drink as well. But to answer your question - No, Minute Maid is not any better for you. In fact. If you must have a flavor in your drink look into Crystal Lite or any of the generic "diet" add ins. Also, in your grocery store near the lemon and lime juice you should find small packets of lime and lemon flavoring to add to water. Also, at Wal-Mart they offer the Sam's Choice fruit flavored carbonated water. I love these! Black Cherry, Strawberry Kiwi, White Grape are just a few flavors to name. Absolutely no calories. These flavored waters or "add-ins" aren't perfect for the body either however they are easier for the kidney's to process. If you are going to have one soda/punch a day I would limit it to one. This probably isn't the answer you wanted to hear but it's my honest answer. Best of luck to ya!!

crystal light is always good =) have you tried that?

My dear friend, too much sugar. GOD Bless you.

Yes it would be healthier. Minute maid is healthy and has calcium. Good choice!

minute maid is better for your body. it helps your brain to refresh and help your memory.

Try making unsweet tea and drinking that!

Just put 4 teabags in a pitcher and add about 2 cups of hot water (from the tap is fine)...let it sit for about five minutes, remove the tea bags and add cold water to the top. Pour over ice in beautiful glass! ENJOY!

(You can add sweetner or lemon)...

The sugar in juice drinks is just as bad for you as carbonated water. There is practically no nutrition in juice drinks, even the ones with no added sugar and a miniscule amount of vitamins, but there's plenty of sugar.

If you want juice, eat some fruit. Avoid juice drinks; they're mostly empty calories.

well no not really, because of the amount of sugar they contain, they are just as bad as any carbonated drink. try a healthy drink liked flavored water, tea [not brisk], protein shakes 100% juice, etc. don't drink anything with more than 15g of sugar because sugar tuns to fat and it is stored in your body as fat too. even diet drinks are bad for you because they contain chemicals and preservatives. hope that helps

Fruit juice is a good option -- go for the ones that say "100 % Juice" on the label. Tang, Kool Aid, and Minute Maid punch are all good in moderation, but all have a lot of sugar, and aren't much better for you than soda. Also, every serving of fruit juice you drink counts as a serving toward your daily requirement of fruits & veggies.

Stopping soda is hard, but you'll feel better. I dropped about 10 pounds when I stopped drinking soda!!

Good luck to you!!

Yes, because you now are drinking 100% Calcium drinks. Its hard to avoid sodas because of their amazing fizz flavor. I suggest not to.

Crystal Light is good. Or also try Tropicana Twisters Light...
