EGGS, how long can they go unrefrigerated?!
Answers: I heard from 2 sources (people) that you do not need to refigerate eggs. They can sit around for a period of time that may be days unrefrigerated. One of the people I heard this from was a neighbor who heard it from the other neighbor that we both get our fresh eggs from. I have not had a chance to ask my egg lady but it kind of creeps me out thinking about the eggs I have sitting around unrefrigerated. Does anyone know for sure?
if the eggs are fresh and have never been refrigerated, then about 5 days to a week. once an egg has been refrigerated (or exposed to cold temeratures) it has to remain in a cold temerature until it's ready to be used. otherwise it will go bad in a matter of hours, depending on the temperature they are exposed to.
added: eggs are in the fridge section at most stores (in the USA). they are delivered in cold trucks, and in the cold section with the dairy. it's not like they're on the cereal isle.
Eggs do not need to be refrigerated.
When you buy them in the supermarket they are not refrigerated.
i think u can leave them out for like 1 or 2 days at the most. but i read that you can freeze them for like a year.
Yes, eggs do not need to be refridgerated. When i buy them they are not in fridges. Simply go by the use by/sell by date as to when you wish to eat them. =)
Eggs are cheap. When in doubt, throw them out.
Or at people, that's fun too...:P
it can be kept approximately for 10 days without refrigeration and when u keep it inside the rice it can be kept for a longer period that is may be for one month.

We, as Americans, like to refrigerate our eggs. However, the rest of the world leaves them out. My sister lives in Australia and they never refrigerate their eggs. Neither does anyone else I know who is not American. And that's a lot of people. You can't hold on to them forever, but a week to 10 days is good.
The only thing to add to the above answers is that you can tell if the eggs are fresh when you break them open. A very fresh egg will have a relatively firm white and the yolk also be firm. After a few days though, a watery area will form around the whites and the yolk will start to droop.
If you drop an egg into water, it will sink as long as it is still good. If it floats, try to toss it without cracking it open.
In general though I think a week is about the most I'd let my eggs sit out.
