Is 33 grams of sugar per serving of fruit juice OK if the label says the sugar is "natural fruit sugar only"?!
Answers: "Natural fruit sugar" is better than regular sugar, sure, but you should really be looking for juices that have "No sugar added." That will limit the amount of sugar in the juice even more.
fruit sugar is better for you than refined sugars, but you still have to be careful about intake of fruits because it is still sugar.
Sugar is sugar. If you need to control sugar intake, beware!
Sugar is sugar.
The "natural fruit sugar" is all a marketing gimmick.
Personally, I think it's deceitful advertising. If you read the ingredient label, the juice probably contains "concentrated" juice or juice from "concentrate".
All that means (concentrate) is the juice is cooked down (boiling off the water and probably destroying nutrients in the process) to make the "juice" sweeter, actually very sweet.
Does this sound "natural"? Not to me.
Not really. Natural sugar, is still sugar. Not only that, but is it 100% juice, or manily water with sugar added. If you want fruit juice, buy oranges, apples, etc, etc, peel them, put them in your food prosescer, blender, and make your own. It is cheaper, and will taste alot better. Of course, you have to spend a littte time doing this, but the end result, is much better.
33 grams is 33 grams. It doesn't matter. Sugar is sugar. The way you body process may be a little slower in a fruit sugar but most of these are still not good for you they are frutcose and hydrogenated corn syrup.
It is still sugar..... and 33 grams of it in 4 to 8 ounces is a lot.... also, the companies do lie to you on the packaging.... just because it says it is all natural it can still be bad for you....
