Why did cereal taste better in the 90s?!

Probably because you are a grown up now, and the cereals you are eating are probably meant for kids!
Less sugar and more expensive
I think we've grown up a bit.and we're in a different stage of food or something in there like that.
Because you were younger then and your taste buds were full throttle. Now, you're older and slowly but surely, your taste buds have been dying. This is the same reason why as kids most hate veggies and end up liking them and thinking they're not as bad as adults. Face it, your getting OLD. :) lol.
Once ran into a grocery supplier who said that they seem to add more sugar to things every year!
Also, as we get older we lose taste buds on our tongue, so they become less sensitive, if you smoke that changes your sense of taste as well.
You were younger then. Everything from when you were a kid seems better now.
For the same reason that cereal tasted better to me in the 60s,when we are young things taste better.
