I'm making a trip to Trader Joe's, what should I get?!
What are some of your favorites from Trader Joe's?
Answers: Maybe a silly question, but the nearest one is over an hour away, so we don't get to go that often.

OMG, Trader Joe's to a woman is like a hardware store to a man. I could get lost there for hours. The closest one to me is in Cincy and I live 5 hours away in Toledo.
But the best thing there is something called:
Dr. Pete's Praline Mustard Glaze.
What it doesn't taste like is mustard...What it is is a dark brown gooey substance that you pour over a block of softened cream cheese to make the most delicious appetizer anyone has ever tasted. People go nuts over it (it has chunks of pecans in it, hence the praline moniker)
Also, can pour it over a spiral sliced ham before you bake it and it tastes very close to the Honeybaked Ham you pay an arm and a leg for at Easter.
I go to Trader Joe's JUST to buy this stuff. Let me know how you like it.
They have my favorite vegetarian meat balls there! Even if you arent a vegetarian these are AMAZING! They are really healthy for you and they contain lentil beans. Find them in the frozen section.
Otherwise I would just shop around and if you've see anything that looks good, buy it. Trader Joe's has some great stuff!
I always stock up on cheese when I'm there. Cambazola is my favorite. There's another one with dried apricots and ginger that's really good. I also love a wine they have called La Boca. And their dips are so good! The bleu cheese-pecan dip with green apples to dip. And their frozen appetizers! You've got me hungry for TJ's now!
If you're an hour away...make sure to bring a cooler!
Hey! Nice avatar ;)
Well, going to TJ's is a treat, really just an all around wonderful shopping experience. I really like their dried mango as a snack. They have a nice selection of dried fruit, nuts, and wine! If you are shopping for a party, it's the place to go because you can stock up on cookies, candy, interesting chips and dips, and other specialties in the frozen section like Tiramisu and egg rolls. They are actually a bit cheaper than Whole Foods.
Trader Joe's has a good assortment of nuts at very reasonable prices. Their crackers/pretzel selection is also very varied and reasonable. We always stock up on their frozen blueberries(they have the wild blueberries) and frozen vegetables in the winter months. Their organic cereals are less expensive than at the grocery chains. Frozen fish is available in portion sizes which is also convenient.
