What is an Irish coffee?!
Answers: Irish coffee (Irish: Caife Gaelach) is a cocktail consisting of hot coffee, Irish whiskey, and sugar, stirred, then with thick cream floated on top. The coffee is drunk through the cream. The original recipe explicitly uses cream that has not been whipped, although whipped cream is often used. Irish coffee may be considered a variation on the hot toddy.

Irish coffee:- Make a normal cup of black coffee, add a measure of Irish whisky, heat a spoon in hot water and carefully pour cream over the hot spoon held just above the coffee and you should find the cream will lay on the top of the coffee. A lovely drink after a good meal. Cheers
an irish coffee is only traditional when a leprechaun serves it to you. he will awaken you in a magically gleaming stream of multi-colored, marshmallow charm pieces and then he will do a jig. he will proceed to pour you a glass of coffee with whiskey, but instead of a mug, it's a potato.
if you drink too much of this stuff, it will make you a patriots fan and love michael flatley.

OK...it is not a nrmal coffee with cream/whiskey/sugar.
You make your coffee, then scald a glass cup (must be made of glass with handle) with hot water. Place spoon in cup, pur coffe in up to just above half way. Then add a decent shot or two of whiskey and maybe some cloves. Top up with the thickest cream you can find (otherwise, lightly whip some normal cream).
Et voila!
Btw Ms Bee, it's "La Fheile Padraig" which means Patrick's feast day, not La le Padraig, that means the day with Patrick and is completely incorrect.
