Who was it that decided that people only want "seedless" watermelons in the supermarket?!

Question: Supply and demand. It's probably what most grocery stores sell so that's what they order. Sad huh? Eventually everything we eat will come from some warped genetic altering.

Likely the customer demands.

I don't know many people who enjoy the pain in the butt activity of dealing with seeds.

we still get both seedless and seeded watermelons in our stores here.

They are very easy to grow. We had only one plant last summer, and got 15 watermelon from it. They had seeds in them, but we didn't mind at all... lol... yummy!

I don't know but I would like to shake his hand! The only watermelon I eat is seedless and I love it.
