How do you keep the prepackaged salad mixes fresh longer?!

i stick a folded paper towel in there to absorb any excess moisture from the air, then close it up with a clamp or paper clips

i've never tried cause i eat them right away (day or two). have you ever seen what the stuff looks like if you kept it in the refrig until the exp date??? ewwwww!
