How do you make YOUR Lasagna?!

Question: :)

I make mine the homemade way. I even make homemade sauce using fresh plum tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, basil, and parsley. I like to make vegetable lasagnas because I always like to try to make my meals as healthy as possible (while still preserving taste, of course!) So basically, I make my lasagna like this: I put some fresh homemade sauce on the bottom of my lasagna pan, and then layer the cooked lasagna noodles on top. I then add some sauce, and few dots of fresh ricotta cheese (I buy it at a local Italian market) and then some blanched spinach. I then follow this process until I get up to the last layer. I then just top it off with tomato sauce and a light sprinkle of grated mozzarella cheese.

I love the way I make my lasagna because it isn't too greasy or too cheesy. It is very light and the spinach and ricotta makes a great filling for lasagna. It is also very healthy since it is made with fresh ingredients and contains vegetables. Also, you can try to use whole-grain lasagna noodles to make this dish extra healthy, although it does compromise the taste a little (or at least in my opinion).

I always buy it frozen and somewhere in there I add to the menu items that make you feel it was homemade

I've found a pretty good recipe for lasagna using my crockpot ... only problem is that I've got lasagna leftovers for the next week ...

I make it with cottage cheese instead of ricotta, love it.

Its called Stouffers!

I make mine from the recipe on the back of the noodle box. I do use the ricotta (skim milk kind). The recipe is easy to follow and you can use the noodles without cooking them. It makes great leftovers the next day too.

I use my mom's recipe which is. I do not boil the lasagna noodles....it is all thrown in a casserole with foil covering the top. I also use cottage cheese not ricotta. I vary somewhat on it because I like a little more sausage than hamburger.
