I microwave some eggs every morning and eat them on bread. Now and then instead of eating eggs I have pancakes.
I tried eating oatmeal instead, because it's supposed to be healthier, but it did not hold my appetite and I wound up eating more between meals. So I just eat the eggs and find it holds my appetite until lunch.
The only snack I have is fruit....apples usually.

i'm all for light things (yogurt, fruit, granola, etc.) because anything heavier just makes me want to nod off at work within an hour of showing up. the boss doesn't like that, lol.

i think it's interesting how many other cultures, though, don't eat sweet things for breakfast as we do. many foreign cultures eat things like fish, meat sandwiches, stir fry, burritos...all sorts of things that we americans normally shy away from first thing in the morning and reserve for later meals of the day. my family has taken in foreign exchange students for years and breakfast is always a challenge in the beginning due to their different eating habits.
