Tamales - 10 POINTS!!!?!
Answers: I bought 2 doz. chicken tamales on Friday. My co-worker brought them in and they were hot. I left them here (on my desk) over the weekend : ( and now I'm wondering if they are still safe to eat if I heat them up (several minutes in our [insanely powerful] : ) microwave)?
I sell homemade tamales here in my hometown, on etsy, & also make them for my family. If they are still wrapped in the cornhusks (no tin foil, just corn husks), put them inside of a grocery store plastic bag & lightly tie it. Microwave it 1-3 minutes until hot. They will be just fine - dont worry.
if they were cooked already... heat them up really hot to kill off anything and they should be fine.
if they were wrapped up overnight they should be fine... if not, lots of bacteria r crawling on them
NO... the chicken would have gone bad by now/
no, you ever heard of food poison? you don't know if anything has crawled on them. trash them,
no the isdide will be rotten so i wouldnt try it okay the heat and moisture hit them 4 a long yime dont do it ...
Sorry,
you will have to throw it in the trash
you could get really sick if you eat old spoiled chicken
They should be fine if they have already been cooked once, just warm them in the microwave for longer than normally! if they havent been oppened i would not suggest eating them but you could try microwaving one and try it and see how they are!If they were rapped up they should be fine
sry thats all i can say
Do not eat. the chicken is teaming with salmonella by now, unless you enjoy spending the day in the bathroom.......
They should be alright. The same thing happen to me one time and they were fine but keep in mind I have a cast iron tummy. I can eat anything without getting sick.
I would not eat them because they were not refrigerated. Even though they were cooked I don't think it would be worth taking a chance eating them.
If they were at room temp. for over 5 hours don't eat them. I don't care how powerful you microwave is it will not unspoil chicken.
Id say no...the chicken...
Do not eat them under any circumstances. Throw them away and order some new lunch!
People who are saying "oh they should be all right just give them a heat up" are seriously misinformed. You should never cook chicken and let it cool down to room temperature before leaving it for 2-3 days and then reheating it. The worrying thing is that some of your responses are from people claiming to be catering professionals. No wonder food poisoning is so prevalent in the industry!
Do not listen to their dangerous and irresponsible advice. it is categorically wrong and any serious professional would recognise it as bad practice and a contravention of food safety guidelines.
I think as long as you heat them up before eating them you will be fine is not like they where outside under the sun or anything like that they where in your office so they probably have the a/c at a good temp. as long as you heat them on high You will be fine.
I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD BE GOOD.... YOU CAN HEAT THEM UP IF YOU THINK THEY DONT HAVE A GREAT SMELL I WOULD NO T EAT THEM
