Great green gobs of greamy, grimmy gulphers guts, mutilated monkey meat, pickled dirty birdy feet with some hot peeled scabs with pus on top, monkeys vomit and camel snot,

have you ever heard the term "lips & bums"? That pretty much sums it up. I saw a program on tv once and they showed you step by step how they are made. Seriously, they had trays full of pig eyelids (with lashes) and feet and tails, ears. Oh it was so gross. They made them and they looked exactly like the ones in the shops. Very scary.
depends on the type, there are ones made of beef, beef and pork, chicken, turkey, reindeer even. It's just a mildly seasoned sausage. The better quality ones like the kosher ones are all beef. They are usually made from the scraps or small bits of meat that aren't sold as steaks and such. Some of the cheaper ones have a lot of fillers and questionable parts. So stick with the better quality ones. It's worth it.
They make the turkey and chicken ones to appeal to people who want low fat options. But read the label. Sometimes they aren't really any lower in fat.
Hot dogs, also called frankfurters, were first created in Frankfurt, Germany, in 1852. At its heart, a frankfurter is a sausage. Hot dogs are now made by hundreds of companies all across the globe, and each company has its own secret recipe. In general, however, hot dogs contain:
* Meat
* Meat fat
* A "cereal filler" (bread crumbs, oatmeal or flour)
* A little egg white
* Spices (onion, garlic, salt, pepper, etc.)
Various meat.
Mechanically separated chicken (that's the first ingredient -- check)
Low grade meat that isn't sold as steaks or burgers. Also often what they call meat byproducts. The flesh of the animal that is not technically meat, but is still edible. These are ground up really finely and heavily seasoned and turned into hot dogs.
Try kosher, they only use beef, I saw that
