If I eat a cookie and spit it out of my mouth will I still get the calories and sugar from that cookie even...!

Question: even though I did not swallow it?

Answers: even though I did not swallow it?

Digestion starts by you putting it in your mouth and chewing. The enzymes in your saliva begin to break down the food. You'll end up swallowing this saliva. You more than likely will get a small trace of the calories or sugar. If its your weight you're worried about, how about eating an apple or some other fruit if you're craving something sweet. You'll be able to swallow it and you won't be swallowing empty calories like those in the cookie.

You'll get the sugar and some of the calories. About half of the calories, I believe.
