What is the "strangest" meat you've ever eaten?!
I have friends who have eaten armadillos, monkey brains, etc.
The most strangest thing I've ever eaten personally is whale meat. I had it in the 60's in Japan. It was delicious!! Melted in my mouth. Like super tender beef.

I was a judge for the Banana Slug Cookoff at the annual Slugfest sponsored by The Paper in Monte Rio, California. The slugs tasted kind of like liver, but they stuck to the dental fillings.
Hagis, made from sheep liver, heart and lungs.
Im about to eat a shrew I just found, its still kickin a bit
Rattlesnake.
crocodile.. tastes like fishy chicken ?
cow tongues they actually tast pretty goo except the top layer cause it all rubbery
I've had alligator - very tough and chewy. I've also had wild boar, which was pretty tender (it was prepared as a stew) but quite gamey.
ive eaten beaver, cant really say i remember what it tasted like, just part of a life i had many things id rather not remember eating. Goat isnt bad if its cooked really slow on a bbq, but not if you know its name before hand, Turtle is interesting, pork, chicken, sea food all in one creature, or at least the textures and similar taste. I Dislike snail, or at least the version i had.
Raw abalone - it was still alive and even though it was cut into strips, it contracted like a muscle when I bit into it!
I chewed it up and swallowed it so a bunch of commercial divers I was working with wouldn't call me a sissy.
Snail and buffalo.
Fish eggs and fried squid are considered weird by many people I know, but I really, really enjoyed them before I stopped eating meat.
I ATE FROG BALLS
[taste like orange chicken fom Panda Express]
Sometimes it is best not to know how strange the meat you are about to eat. Once had the opportunity to consume a BBQed morsel of meat in West Africa that was fairly good. After the cooking there is only 4-6 bites per serving so depending on your appetite you may have to eat a couple or more. After the meal I asked the locals the orgination of the meat. I was shown one of the live animals in a small cage and was told it was a "grass cutter." Anyone from West Africa will know what this is. For the remainder of you wondering, it is a common field rat. Yum, Yum.
