How long can frozen meatballs stay good past their expiration date?!

Question: I found a bag of frozen meatballs in my freezer but I'm not sure if they are okay. The expiration date is 10-10-07 and my friends are trying to convince me they are okay. Anyone know how long frozen meatballs stay good past their expiration date?

Hard question to answer.
Alot of factors to think about. Did you have them over a year? If so were they ever defrosted ( even by a malfunction in your fridge)? Did someone give them to you? Did you buy them in a store already expired ( without knowing)? This is important because you don't know what those meatballs went through unless you owned them all these months(they just had a birthday not long ago)! Congrats!
Well, if I had them a year, I'd probably boil one and give it a taste. Its probably good( if they never defrosted). But if you dont know it for sure.
Just dump them.
Was the expiration date for frozen or refrideragted?
What does it say on the back( something like "good for 10 days thawed or 6 months frozen").
So really, theres no way to tell unless you boil a few.
Actually the smell should tell all.
Dont defrost them, just drop a few in boiling water for a few minutes.

They stay good indefinitely. I have some from 1972 in my freezer that I plan on having for Easter dinner. My aunt made them before she went crazy.

if there not growing fur on them they should be fine.. Just when you cook them up make sure they smell ok.

They may be fine, but just consider if risking food poisoning is really worth the $4 for another bag of meatballs...

maybe a few days if ur lucky but chances r they probably expire
on the day of expire. Unless you want to chance your health by getting food poisoning don't eat them

why would you even trust eating that. that is gross, dont eat it.

OMG!! YOUR MEATBALLS EXPIRE ON MY B-DAY!!!
