hope this helps you out

Go for the green veggies. Add in some yellow like squash and get sweet potatoes, and some bread. Buy powered milk to stretch your milk. Buy fruits in season and you will be a lot healthier. Great going on the bananas!

no name rice krispie squares, soup goes on sale for a dollar and no name granola bars---> taste like chocolate.. just out of curiosity, how are you poor yet still have a computer?

Potatoes on sale are cheap. Buy a 5lb bag of potatoes. They can be about 2.50 on sale.

There's usually one or two other fruits that are on sale, and can be bought cheaply. This week green grapes were 99 cents/lb at several stores nearby. Shop the ads. Even if you don't get the paper, you can just buy one paper a week, the day the ads are in. Here it's wednesday. And stores put their ads online.

Homemade salads can be good and cheap. A head of lettuce is $2 (makes about 4 big salads) ranch dressing = $1, bag of croutons = $1, bag of shredded cheese = $2. Diced chicken is really good on salad too, but you'll have to make it yourself to keep it cheap. Just cook some chicken breasts, dice it and freeze it. Put it in the fridge to thaw it out.

There's usually always a meat on sale. The best is probably chicken breast, when it's about $1.50/lb. Also spiral cut hams were recently 1.50/lb, also frozen turkey breast, turkey sausage. Eggs are meat. The price of eggs has gone up to about $2/dozen, however, that's still inexpensive compared to some meat.

Do you have an oven and everything? or are you in a dorm?
They sell microwaves with convection ovens built in. If you live in a dorm, that's a good investment.
