Smoothie question!?!

Question: I know this may seem stupid, but I am about to go grocery shopping and I need to know what to buy! I need to know how to make a smoothie that is quick for breakfast or a snack. Like with yogurt and blueberries and stuff like that. Yogurt sits well on my somach in the mornings. Any ideas? Do you just blend the blueberries and yogurt together? HA! I'm clueless about this!

I love my smoothies.

I don't put yogurt in mine though.

I use milk, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, frozen peaches, frozen mangoes, and fresh bananas (and a bit of sugar.)

Maybe 2-3 strawberries, a little less than half a handful of blueberries, 2-3 peach slices, 2-3 mango slices, and about half a banana? I never measure, I kinda just throw stuff in. Then blend that with a bit of milk. Add more milk to make it thinner if it's too thick. And add a bit of sugar (if you want, i put sugar in mine, my dad thinks its sweet enough).

It took me a few trail and errors to find the fruit I liked best. And how much of each to put.

I suggest frozen fruits. it makes the smoothie thicker (and then you don't have to add ice, so it's not so watery) and frozen fruits are cheaper.

They have variety bags. You can get one of those and just test it out!

yougurt is always good in a smoothie, you will also need milk, low fat or non fat it is up to you, you can put lots of things in it for flavor, check out www.allrecipes.com and type in what kind of smoothie, for example strawberry smoothie in the search and you will get the recipe so you will know what to buy at the store! Good Luck!

Ooh I have a really good breakfast smoothie recipe that I make on a regular basis, cuz I don't usually have the time to make something that takes more than 5 minutes. This is what I use:

-1 cup nonfat milk
-1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
-2 tablespoons of peanut butter
-1/2 banana
-7-8 whole frozen strawberries
-1/2 cup granola (I use Bear Naked Peak Protein granola)

Blend it all together, and it makes about 20-24 oz. It's really good, and really good for you...chock full of protein and just the right amount of carbs. Happy blending!

try an avacado ( makes it creamy and good), milk maybe yogurt... stawberries, pineapple, 1/2 nanner, peaches, blueberries or blackberries...i get hte frozen mixed fruit bags... yum yum!!! dont forget some crushed ice!!!

I got a ton. Let me know how you like. =)
