Is there anything I can do to make strawberries last longer?!

Question: If not freezing, put them in a bag. Seal it up almost all the way but leave a little opening. Insert a straw and suck out all of the air, making a poor mans food vacuum(omit this step if you have a food vacuum-lol), and seal close. They will last longer in the fridge.

make a simple syrup of equal parts water and sugar, bring to boil and pour over cleaned berries. put in fridge

If I chop them up and mix them with some sugar, they seem to last longer than if they are just sitting in the refrigerator with nothing done to them.

If you wash them; then, put sugar in a ziploc bag...add the berries ....shake bag, then freeze. Once you wash them, you have to eat them unless your going to freeze them! I put mine in a hand towel in the bottom drawer of the fridge.

put them in the freezer?

why wait just enjoy them now

Wash and dice them ... put them in the freezer. They last a long time. When you want to use them just take them out like an hour or so. I use them with Evaporated Milk and plain sugar... or Cool Whip. Delicious !! Also you can use Splenda.
