we make sticky buns a lot.... what you do:
sprinkle 3 tablespoons of brown sugar in the bottom of a round cake pan. slice 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter into 10 thin slices and put it all over the bottom of the pan. open a tube of refrigerated biscuts and put them in the pan. cook at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
remove from the oven. put a dinner plate on top of the pan, and flip it over so that it's upside down. lift off the pan, and you've got yummy breakfast.
Whip up (and I mean, use a mixer or whip) some eggs with some cheese and bacon in them, a little milk and scramble those up. When you put some biscuits in the oven, lightly brush their tops with some butter/margarine. Add, on the plate, some fruit slices and parsley sprigs, pots of jam, butter and maybe apple butter on the table. Additions of; grits with butter and sugar, blueberry muffins- maybe instead of biscuits, maybe ham slices....
The pancakes would also be a good addition. Maybe you could add fruit to them.
Whatever you make, you can 'decorate' the plate with greens and colorful fruit.
Don't forget coffee or hot tea, if they drink it, and 2 choices of fruit drink, if you can. Good Luck, relax and don't worry. You'll do fine.

Crispy French Toast
6 bread slices
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon oil
Beat eggs. Add milk, sugar, and cinnamon and mix together. Use a fork to dip each bread slice into the mixture one at a time. The key here is to dip it in the mixture long enough to soak well, but not too long so you avoid it breaking apart.
Cook bread on a hot griddle or skillet over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Use a potato masher to gently press down so your French toast is crispy and golden in the center without burning the crust
Position your oven rack in the middle of your oven and pre-heat to 400F
Get a muffin pan and lightly grease it with a spray or some oil (on a papertowel that you rub all over it).
Put a breakfast meat in each cup - like bacon or ham or a slice of sandwich meat, like turkey. Arrange it like you're lining the cups with the meat - like it's a paper muffin-liner, but meaty! I suggest using a variety so your guests have a choice. Remember that the meat will shrink down quite a bit, so let its edges stick up above the top of the pan now.
*For pizzaze, spoon a 1/2 teaspoon of Maple Syrup and a 1/2 teaspoon of a fresh herb, like rosemary or chives or dill, to the bottom of the meat-cup. Dried herbs work too. Also, you could add a tablespoon of Gruyere, Swiss, or Cheddar cheese to the bottom.
Crack an egg and drop it into each meat-cup.
Sprinkle [fresh cracked?] pepper of the whole pan.
Bake in your oven until eggs are cooked to your liking. This should take around 20 minutes. Keep an eye on the eggs while baking - if you get any bubbles forming while they're in the oven, pierce it with a toothpick or skewer and let it finish baking.
The aroma of the herbs and maple and meat in the oven will fill your house in the warmest, yummiest scents!
When the meaty eggs are almost ready to come out, make a pile of toast or English Muffins (I'm not sure what you guys call those!) and place your meaty egg on top of a slice.
Serve 2 to a plate.
