What Is The Point Of Onion Rings?!
(But basically they taste good and are a fun, social food.)
Answers: The point is it is a way for a restaurant to make tons of money. They are cheap to make and they sell them for a lot.

Except for bacon, onion rings are probably the world's best cholesterol delivery system. Without them, cardiologists worldwide would have to drop back to being dermatologists, rheumatologists, oncologists, or plumbers. This in turn would displace those professionals into other occupations. Pretty soon, everyone would hold 2nd jobs, just to keep their standard of living. So the next time you go to the bar, be sure to order an extra serving of onion rings. The job you save may be your own!
They can form part of your recommended 5-a-day.
OMG they are the best thing in the world ...... I prefer them over french fies!
They taste really good, esp with a cheeseburger.
have you tried the korean onion rings chips???
extremmmmmmeeeeeellllyyyyy goooooooood! :)
They taste good!!!!!>>
they are lovely
do you mean crisps or the actual cooked onion rings in batter or just rings of onion?
crisps- yummy snack
battered- v lovely
ring of onion- pointless unless on a hot dog
They are part of a ketchup delivery system. The only real downside is when you bite into them and the lava hot onion drops down onto your lip. YEOUCH!
They should be thick enough to get the onion flavor. I cut mine to about 1/2"
But they are not cheap in restaurants. They cost about 4 times more than french fries when they come in frozen but you can only get about twice as much per order in sales. That's why it's hard to find them in as many restaurants.
Homemade or hand battered ones are SO much better than the frozen kind...
The same point as an egg, potato or tomato
they're delicious!
