What cause us to crave things?!


Question: Oddly we tend to crave the things our bodies are most intolerant of

salt, refined sugar, wheat and caffeine are prime examples

It's a never ending cycle as the more we have, the more our body demands them - people are often astounded to find they have intolerances of the things they crave most!

If you ignore your cravings, and manage to do without for a few days, you will probably experience lousy headaches and your skin will probably react with pimples etc as your body detoxes and re-adjusts
Drink LOTS of water, eat fruit, fresh veggies and salad
and snack on nuts, berries and seeds

if you do resist, the benefits are amazing!
Increased energy levels, less pmt, better digestion, better skin, higher resistance to common colds, coldsores etc etc, the list is endless

our taste buds....I would also like a cure for having a very active and adictive sweet tooth

or u smelled it
or saw someone with it

Sometimes its our bodies way of getting the vitamins and minerals it needs that are lacking from the regular diet. Other times its just the smell or sight of the certain foods that we personally adore. I also think it has something to do with the memories and diet growing up as a child. I tend to crave salty and spicy foods that I ate as a child while my bf tends to crave the Mediterranean foods he grew up eating in Croatia, stuff I don't ever crave.
