What is the difference between canned tuna for humans and canned tuna for cats?!

Question: Apart from the salt or seasonings put, are the tuna for cats really of poorer quality?

They are about the same price.

good point ! I don't know about the difference between the two (cans)

I would say oily fish full of vitamins and omega 3 oils are best for you (sardines, herring, salmon..etc) although some people dispute about the provenance of the fish; if the fish has been harboured in polluted areas (around Indonesia...) you are going to absorb...(I forgot what now !!!!!!!! ) lots of less than useful contaminants.

Some people say that eating too much tuna is bad for you and some say not so.
Some people say farm fish is best and some say the opposite.

Frozen fish in batter or with sauces added like Teriyaki that you buy at supermarkets are supposedly not good at all. They could have been caught very far away in polluted areas, gone to China to add the sauce, then South America to be packaged etc..to finally arrive on your table !

You can't eat anything anymore those days.....

Cat tuna is a poorer quality and has added vitamins

Human grade tuna is just that, tuna whereas tuna flavoured cat food is not 100% tuna, and usually contains other meats & nutrients which are necessary in the cat's diet.

there is very little difference you can ask your cat

I dont know the difference but i am sure that it can be eaten by humans and definitely, not poisonous.

As for the quality of fish, any fish over 2 days old starts to smell bad and I if you get fish indigestion, you can die from it.

Spica, I am italian and nothing replaces pasta. Long live italian sauce.
