Shops under the amount can open.
So you may find a petrol station at Tesco open.

I dont know about Iceland but I was told by a Tesco assistant that they would be closed today. Why not look on their website..?

It depends on your location within the UK, as Sunday opening time laws differ slightly from each other in Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.
Check their website, it probably has a store locater with opening times for your local branch.
