What easy, yummy (and cheap) snack can I make for the office party this week?!
I have to bring in a snack to share this week for someone's retirement party, and instead of always going the storebought route, I wanted to try and make something that's:
Basic
Fun
Yummy
Relatively inexpensive.
what sort of things do you make for office parties?
Thanks!

Hi. You could try this sweet treat. You take a box of ritz crackers, 1 can of condensed milk and 1 package of skor bits. You can get all these at any supermarket. Crush the ritz crackers to tiny bits in a bowl, spoon in the condensed milk and the skor bits. Pack it down in a square cake pan. Bake it at 375 F for about 15 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Believe me, everyone will love it and never believe what it is make from.
I bring fruit to parties, chopped and arranged nicely by colours. Everyone loves fruit, you can't go wrong. Healthy too.
How about some rice krispy treats. Not only easy and cheap to make, you can make a large variety of them.

spinach dip, with the bread bowl
A sausage cheese dip:
you take sausage(not link) and cook it in a skillet, you drain off the grease and put it back in the same skillet you then take a block of Velveeta cheese and put it in with the sausage and keep it over low heat until the cheese melts then you put half of those small pace sauce jars into the dip.
Viola your done
1 box chocolate cake mix, 3 eggs, 1 can cherry pie filling. Combine everything & bake in a 9 x 13 pan for about 30 minutes (or till done). Let it cool completely, then top with some cool-whip and another can of cherry pie filling. It's even better if you can let the cake sit over night before putting on the cool whip & cherries. Trust me - they'll love you for it!
I am simply supporting Jacks suggestion above. He is right, they will disappear, and you may be mugged for the recipe. I do them all the time and usually have to double the batch. I have also sprinkled a handful of milk chocolate chips on top
peanut butter chews, easy, cheap and always a hit.
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 cup peanut butter
Wheat flake cereal (like corn flakes or Wheaties)
Mix together sugar and honey and bring to boil. Add peanut butter.
Add enough corn flakes to make a thick mixture.
Press into corn flakes lined square 8x8-inch pan. Chill and cut into squares.
This is something that's easy, fun and REALLY yummy!
You get hershey's kisses, mm's and a bag of circle pretzles.
1) put some pretzles on a cookie sheet.
2)unwrap the kisses and put them on the pretzles
3)put them in the oven at 175 degress untill soft
4) take them out and smush the mm's into the top of the kisses
5)let cool and eat! =)
hope you enjoy!!!!
Rocky Road cake/biscuits/bites, call it what you like depending how you cut it.
It's basically broken biscuits, any kind of nuts you like, chopped glacé or dried fruit and marshmallows all mixed in a bowl with melted chocolate. Give it a good stir and set on a tray, wait until chocolate sets hard again and cuts as you like, couldn't be simpler.
I'll bring home-made korean Kim bak !!

Sausage Balls:
2c.Bisquick
1/2 lb. sausage(uncooked)
4c. grated cheese
1/4c.milk
It's fun because you put everything in a bowl and knead it with your hands,(can add more milk if it is dry and not combining good). After its mixed roll into balls, put on a baking sheet and bake for 15min at 350f. I like to serve with a little dish of mustard or ranch dressing.
huumus and pita bread to dip
prosciutto wrapped asparagus spears

deviled eggs
fruit and cheese platter, with chocolate/caramel sauce on the side for dipping the fruit.
