How safe is it to eat food leftovers in restaurants ?!

Question: my friend took some meatballs from the place where they leave the leftovers. his argument was the meatballs are delicious and with a worldwide hunger his moral duty is to take. besides, he will heat them in the micro oven which will kill all the possible viruses and diseases. this does not sound to me a solid argument, but could he be right?

If you would eat left overs from something you have cooked, then left over food from a restaurant will be fine. Chances are that their kitchen is cleaner than your home kitchen, and all the food would have to be cooked to the correct temp etc. So unless its on the floor or been chewed and then spat out or something gross, leftovers would be totally fine to eat.

The only reason its there is because they made too much... if there had been one more customer ordering that dish, then they would have had it rather than it be a left over...

It would be a waste to see it go in the bin if there is nothing wrong with it.

I dont see a thing wrong with it.

good day,
Yes it is safe to eat leftovers from your favorite restaurant , the next day to so. May I also suggest that you have the waiter bring the
to go pkg to table and pkg there. Kitchen are busy places and
sometimes your might get your order..(23 years GM for restaurants)Happy eating

He's right. Microwaves do not kill saturated fat, however.
