I used to prefer Jonathan apples in baking, what happened to them?!

Question: I have tried some others but why can I not get them at my grocery store anymore?

I prefer them over everything else period.
They are the only kind I eat (they're similar to what I've been used eating growing up-I'm not a US native).

And I noticed they are "seasonal". I can only found them in autumn -winter (Oct-maybe Jan). I have to settle for Granny Smith the rest of the year.
They are grown in Michigan, and since there's no Michigan in Chile, South America, where were get the imports from, then we have to settle for substitutes, or wait another year.

They have Jona-golds now, but you should still be able to find them in season in by the bag.
