stock up on basics u can use for lots of things. Veggies like broccoli, asparagus, carrots, squash, potatoes..you can steam them. I always buy things to make entrees like Chicken, beef chuck, salmon. Then lots of extras as side
dishes, such as boxed rice, bagged salad, premade macoroni salad, etc.

Chicken Pasta Alfredo-sautee the chicken in olive oil with basil and garlic. Add jarred alfredo sauce (or use the easy to make packets). Boil pasta. Presto! Make garlic bread or easy to bake rolls. Add a green salad.

Braised meat-go online and find instructions on how to braise. Its easy and you can leave the crock pot going throughout the day. Serve with rice, and steamed veggies.

Baked Salmon-using garlic salt or Pappy's seasoning, season the fish and sear it skin side up on a skillet, then bake until cooked. Serve with a pasta salad (boil corkscrew pasta and then add italian dressing and small chopped veggies, let sit for a few hours in fridge) and easy boxed rice.

Hope it helps!

Ramen noddles BABY!!! there are tons of different flavors!!!

Fixing a big salad with lots of toppings (on the side, of course) is always a big hit. Grill or broil some marinated chicken, and you've got a great meal.

Hamburger helper, Macaroni & cheese, Chili con carne, cases of ramen noodles!
Eat on the cheap since your in -laws are there!
