Do you eat breakfast? What do you have? How long after you wake?!


Question: I don't know if it's just me but breakfast is the ONE meal I cannot skip or substitute, I'm really picky about my breakfast and always crave the same food and drink. And I have to have it as SOON as I get up (I get up, go downstairs, make breakfast) otherwise I'm as good as dead! What about you?

I cannot function without eating breakfast. I wake up starving since I make sure not to eat anything after 7pm. My metabolism is like lightning!

For breakfast I normally eat:
1) Oatmeal with Cinnamon (No Sugar)
2) 3 Eggs (2 Egg whites... Only 1 Egg with the yolk)
3) 2 Slices whole grain wheat toast with Organic Strawberry Preserves. (The preserves only use the natural sugar from the Strawberry itself)
4) 16 oz of Juice (100% Juice either Orange, Pineapple, Apple, Grape, or Cranberry

YUM!! LOL!

Coffee/Beer and a cigarette - as soon as I'm awake.

That's good because breakfast is important and you'll end up eating less throughout the day.

I usually have a cup of coffee and either a bagel or a bowl of cereal.

Well I do sometimes, and when I do

I eat oatmean with toast.

and like 30 mi. or a hour after I wake.

what do you eat?

i always have to eat breakfast...i feel paranoid if i dont because i know its unhealthy and horrible for your metabolism.
i usually have a bagel with ham, egg, and cheese (it's waht they have at my school)
but i usually wait about an hour after i wake up to eat. I cant eat right away...my tummy doesn't want it that early :P

i cant eat once i get up i have to wait until lunch time

i'm not as finicky about my breakfast, which is usually bread (toast) and hot chocolate or tea. and i rarely get to eat it at once, more like 2 hours after i get up, which is when i arrive at work.

i usually hit my snooze button at least 4 times before actually waking up--leaving no time for breakfast. but when i do eat, i ususally have a bagel with light cream cheese..and i dont eat as soon as i get up, usually a half hour or so after

Around 8 when I get to work I go get a bagel with cream cheese and a starbucks coffeee.. yummy!!!!!!!!!! otherwise my stomach roars.. arrrhhhhh!

i dodn eat anything till 12 noon + because of school

I usually have cereal (hot or cold) or eggs about 1-2 hours after I get up. But the coffee's gotta happen right away!

i used to eat breakfast every day when i was in public school.. but now i dont really like to. it takes me atleast 2 hours to get hungry after i wake up. but if i do eat breakfast i just have some fruit or something.. or oatmeal. =]

I usually have coffee and some kind of granola bar, and usually within an hour of getting to work. This morning though, I had cold pizza and a pepsi. (I'm hungover)

For years i never ever ate breakfast and didn't eat till lunch. About two years ago i started eating yogurt and almonds in the morning. The first month was brutal and i thought i would gag with every spoonful. Now i can't function unless i have my breakfast every morning. What a difference it has made in my blood sugar level. And yes i eat the same thing for breakfast everyday, occasionally a bowl of cheerios.

my husband has to eat as soon as he wakes up. he likes 2 different menus:

1. oatmeal with honey, dried cranberries, pecans and sliced banana, 2 bagels (plain or cinn./raisin) with butter and whipped cream cheese, and Indian tea

OR

2. scrambled eggs with pepper mixed with leftovers from dinner (if meat or beans and rice), plus the 2 bagels and tea

I can eat anything for breakfast--leftovers, plain oatmeal, a hard boiled egg and I have to eat about 1 hour after I wake up.

Haha I don't have time for that foolishness

Well sometimes I'll eat left over pizza, sometimes Chili' Others times I go to steak and shake for bacon,eggs rye toast, potato cakes With Ice tea to drink. I also need my breakfast to get started. I also use this time to read my morning paper.

Nah, I'm not really a breakfast fan. I have to eat late in the morning if I do, and usually its a YoCrunch vanilla yogurt with reeses pieces mixed in and a glass of water or a coke.
I do like pancakes though, but who has the time to cook em ?

I either have whole wheat toast with honey, or (cooked) oatmeal with raisins..

I need about 30 minutes to wake up before doing anything. I have an egg (full of protein!), toast, yogurt, and green tea. If I don't wake up fully, I'll overcook the egg and burn the toast. That would be a bad start to the day!

i eat budwig as soon as i reach the kitchen with orange juice

i eat children, only after an hour or so though

I like breakfast and I usually get up and read a little and then I get super hungry. When in school it's usually a breakfast bar or lean pocket, when not, I try to be very healthy and have a fruit smoothie and chickpea burger with yogurt. I also like fresh fruit and muesli.

I have to eat breakfast right away, or I'll feel sick. I always have coffee, and I'll usually have oatmeal or some other cereal.
