Lots of good advice - apart from JO.
The risk isn't the cheese, it is any foodstuff that is made from unpasteurised products.
The pasteurisation process is used to kill pathogenic bacteria which could harm anyone vulnerable (babies, the sick, old people and those with low immune systems). The best advice is to avoid these until baby is born and you have finished breastfeeding.
they are bad the risk is that you could get listeria from them
you are not supposed to eat anything that hasnt been pasturised. this includes some cheeses, handmade icecream, anything with uncooked eggs. also avoid pate because it's iron content is too high.
The only risk is with soft ("moldy") cheeses like Brie, blue, Camembert only because they can carry the risk of listeria. I personally used caution ( with first two kids I ate lots of cheese, especially blue and nothing happened, with third after all the fuss, I ate it in moderation) regarding quality of cheese and moderation of servings. Fresh cheeses like cottage, feta and aged like mozzarella and Cheddar are actually good for you (maybe choose feta that is lower in salt - it may affect your water retention). Other than that - it is OK to eat cheese and other milk products - you both need a lot of calcium. Congratulation and good luck.
2nd hand is bad but eatin cheese and fish is ok because i did
Its the unpasterized cheese that is unsafe. The Listeria bacteria can be very bad for unborn children. See the link below for more information that I found online.
