YOUR experience(s) with food poisoning?!

Question: Hi everyone

If you've had food poisoning before
Could you please inform me of:

-What you ate
-How long afterwards you became affected
-What your symptoms were
-How long they lasted
-How did you feel the day after (sore? shaky?)
-How much recovery time did you need

Tell me all about it! Thanks!

I got some bad oysters. I guess it took 8-12 hours to hit me then I was out for three or four days. Sweating, hot & cold at the same time, dizzy, diarrhea, vomiting, just plain ill. I probably should have gone to the hospital but I was too weak to even think about it. I lived alone at the time. It really sucked.

a hamburger from roy rogers with mayo on it

1 hour
diarrhea and throwing up
36 hours at most
tired and weak
a couple of days

ate the burger and coming home it hit me my husband and i were driving down the highway and i said pull over now,,, threw up got home was in the bathroom all night pretty much had stomach pains too

Ugh, I'll never forget. Went to a friends house and had salad. Lettuce had been in the sun all day. Got sick maybe two days later. Shakey, Exhausted, Nauseated, Diarrhea.. like the worst flu ever. Lasted like 4 days, I think. Never could tell my friend because she wouldn't believe me.

I had BBQ chicken from a place that had a good reputation. Within 2 hours, I started to feel bloated and got stomach cramps. This was followed quickly by long sittings on the white ceramic "throne". The next day wasn't quite as bad, but I did have to take sick leave. On day 2, I was back at work. But I took a lot of trips to the convenience facility. Day 3 was pretty much back to normal.

i had food poisoning when i went to sri lanka. im not sure what gave me it exactly it could have been anything i ate. it was probably my breakfast though and i felt the symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, fever and dehydration about six hours after that. it took me two days to recover

Chicken
By morning.
Vomiting and Diarrohe
6 days in hospital.
Very unpleasant.

gross

here's the details

there's a little "one man show" type chicken joint here and everyone swore by this place "It's sooo good..." they'd say

yah well here's what happened

I must have got the only half raw piece in the bucket
but I knew it wasn't fully cooked shortly after eating, though nothing happened right away.

then when thinking about it and talking about it
it was rubbery to chew and the veins still were red and some of it was still pink

it took about 5-6 hours to get bad enough to make me woof.

then all of it came up and out of both ends.

and then about 6 hours after that it was done.

but I did phone in a complaint and none of us ever ate there again

Cheers
( ??RfD?? )
