Farmers market?!
Answers: whats a top seller at a farmers market?i was thinking of seeling jams, cinamon buns, home baked goods, bread and buns, berries when in season,etc.....what are some tricks also for getting attraction to your table.looking for tips and tricks, ideas to be a successfull seller.
I miss doing this! We made jams, jellies, dips etc. Our biggest draw was showing how our product could be used. So samples are a must. We showed how you could cook with jams/jellies and make more than just dip with our dips! Print up little free recipe cards to be given away (with purchase) to show people how to cook with your products not just spread them on a piece of toast, but adding them to stir fry, pancakes, muffins, cakes etc. Attractive bowls or wide mouthed mason jars for samples and use pretzel sticks or small spoons for sampling. Also offer attractive packaging, and very clean surroundings. Nice clean table cloth with perhaps an attractive napkin with a sample on each across the table. Also your appearance is important, so where an apron or something it really helps people make the connection that this is really home cooking. Ok....I want to do this again!
I hope your very successful!!
make it look appetizing..maybe offer free samples of your goods..use eye catching scenery to attract business to you..colors colors colors..will help a great deal
people can be seduced by heartstrings so say if its a homemade recipe..my grandmother made this its generational and I have had this passed to me. Selling is an art you have to know how to work people. Let them know they have to have your product without saying it. Even have some friends walk around talking about your cinnamon buns to create more business, like they are common folk
Displaying some flowers and an eye popping sign will help. Look at your demographic and see what sells but also offer things that might be a bit different from the next booth so you can develop a niche market.
