Is it true that breath mints with sugar actually make your breath worse?!

Question: Its true. Sugar reacts with bacteria in your saliva which creates bad breath. So does alcohol, so dont use mouthwash with alcohol (like Listerine).
Sugar-free mints and drinking water is the best way to keep fresh between meals.

I don't know, i've never heard that. I do find that tic tacs (they have sugar) give me a funny taste in my mouth like twenty minutes after I eat them. So maybe they do make my breath smell bad. My mouth feels minty immediately after eating them, but that goes away pretty fast. On the other hand, I find that sugarfree icebreakers give me fresh breath for a really long time. Hmmm....Maybe you're on to something. A conspiracy-We must test it!

NO only your tooth!

OMG ive never really noticed that but your right i feel a tingle sensation when i put it in my mouth but it goes away immediatly after is gone.
i also thinks ice breakers are the best.

I think it's true. The sugar in the mints feed the bacteria that makes your breath stink. Your best bet is to floss, brush, brush your tongue and use Listerine.

Yeah, I don't like eating any lolly as i find that unless I'm eating something else afterwards, it will make my breath stink. I try to avoid any sweets when I'm out, including chocolate.
