Which weighs more a hard boiled egg or a raw egg?!

Question: My children and I are trying to figure this out....because a hard boiled egg spins faster we thought because it was heavier because the shell has pores and absorbs water while cooking. Is this right?

You are right. A boiled egg will absorb a small amount of liquid, when you peel the egg you will find moisure between the egg and the shell.

boiled...

Boiled since there is more mass.

Boiled weighs more

i would say i dont no maybe
both the same

the boiled egg weighs more.

yes............................
boiled eggs weight more.................

its not that is spins faster its that it spins better when upright i believe. weight doesnt really have anything to do with it, its the state of the egg, it went from a gelatinous liquid to a soft solid. its state is more stable. the egg weights before and after boiling are virtually the same
