Answers: In my 1st pregnancy, I'm not producing enough breast milk for my baby. My friends told me that eating raw papaya as a vegetable helps to increase breast milk but I don't know how true it is. Now I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my 2nd & I'm planing to try to cook & eat papaya to increase my breast milk... I will be very appreciate if you can share any of your nice, delicious & yummy papaya recipe :)

I 've heard about it ...
There are three recipes.
1) PAPAYA MILK
-> fully ripe papaya ( fully yellow/orange in colour)
-> full cream milk
-> honey
Remove papaya seed and skin.. cut into cube , blend in together with milk . add honey to taste.
PAPAYA SOUP(sweet)
-> one semi ripe papaya(half yellow , half green), remove only seed.
-> 5 red dates
->1 white fungus( soak and cut into small pieces)
-> rock sugar
-> cut papaya into wedge. place it into pot , fill with water(till cover papaya only). add red dates and fungus .. cook till papaya is soft. add sugar to taste.
papaya soup( salty)
-> semi ripe papaya
-> spare ribs
-> dry mushroom
-> only a few dry lily buds
-> salt
Cook spare rib in water until meat is cook. put in the papaya, dry mushroom and lily buds. cook till papaya soften.. salt to taste.
I have never heard that one, but papaya is very good for the digestion, so it may well be true.
idk if its true...but ask your doctor or the doctors nurse - they may know.
it is believed that raw papaya and pineapple can induce abortion due to the enzymes it contains. But there is no scientific evidence to support this belief. Cashews and cantaloupe are safe to be consumed during pregnancy.......
please ask your doctor....

raw papaya has actually been proven to start labor so I would advise against eating it since you are only 29 weeks. You should wait until you're actually ready to give birth before you eat it. There are other things you can take after birth to help encourage milk production, I would look into those.
